Thank you for visiting my page.  I am so excited to show you my art.  I included the very first watercolor picture that I ever painted, inspired by a picture of one of my foals, Onyx.  It represents where my journey began.  I continue to grow and evolve as an artist and hope you will continue on this journey with me.  I hope you enjoy learning about me in my interview with Conroe Art League in Conroe, Texas.

I began my adulting as a Veterinarian in Houston, Texas.  I received my Veterinary degree from Texas A&M University.  I owned a small animal practice for the first part of my career, then after my kids went off to college, I sold my practice and transitioned into a Government Veterinary role with the State of Texas.  I have continued in this position for the last 16 years.  I had never painted a picture before about three years ago, when I started watercolor painting with my grandchildren. This introduction to art showed me that it was a place where I could explore my creative side and destress from all the worries of the day.  I moved to oil painting about a year ago.  I am now exploring advanced painting techniques including vacant shadows, speed painting and impasto.  I plan to complete some master studies in the near future, including one of my favorite old master's, William Bouguereau.  So stay tuned and check back often to see what I have on the easel.
